Could you elaborate what is your setup like. What steps did you take to implement deeplinking for Pearson's Math Lab ?
A bit of a background, I was a in a similar situation and I finally got a break through after reading docs and advices scattered across the internet, I was finally able to implement all features ( other than dynamic reg.-since not all LMSes support it yet ) I recorded everything here link
I got this same error when I was working with moodle locally using http domain. If you are on a similar path may be the article might help.
