lti 1.3 tool opening as embedded even though it is configured to open in new window

Hello all,

A partner of our company has just developed an lti 1.3 tool that we want to be opened in an new window. Even though we have configured the external tool to open in a new window, it is somehow trying to load it as an embedded one.

Obviously, the tool's server doesn't allow embedding the tool, so we're having this error:

But it shouldn't be loading it in the embed mode in the first place... 

Our moodle version is 3.10.

Can somebody help us?
